Day 1
Transit Point | Transfer
Wilderness Toka Leya, Livingstone, Zambia | 3 Nights
Twelve kilometres north-west of Victoria Falls, in the heart of Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park,
on the banks of the Zambezi River, Wilderness Toka Leya beckons.
Twelve spacious, en-suite safari-style suites (including three family tents), all with expansive
decks, have dramatic views of the river and wildlife coming to drink there. With its soft,
neutral tones, tucked into riverine forest and the river slowly flowing past, Wilderness Toka
Leya feels like a sanctuary. Hippos often come up to graze; bushbuck and other antelopes
are regular visitors. Limiting the footprint on this pristine area, the camp has been built
around the towering trees: wooden walkways snake between the units and the common
area. Off this area are an infinity pool, a sundeck for mealtime treats, and a convivial fire pit
for night-time gatherings. A small gym faces the river, as does a spa offering a variety of
treatments. Dining is a highlight, running from silver service to the camp’s world-renowned
pizza.
Day 4
Transit Point | Transfer
Wilderness King's Pool, Linyanti, Botswana | 3 Nights
Watch elephant and other creatures from a unique perspective at the sunken hide.
Rejoice in all the water birds - fish-eagles, herons, African skimmers, and many others.
Wilderness King’s Pool lies under a canopy of jackalberry trees overlooking the Linyanti
River and the ‘King’s Pool’ - the lagoon named after Swedish King Carl Gustav XVI, who
reportedly honeymooned nearby in the 1970s. Totally solar-powered, richly hued in
copper and teal, this stylish camp offers seven well-appointed thatch and canvas twins
and one suite, each boasting a spacious bedroom and lounge area leading to a veranda
that embraces picturesque views of the surrounding lagoon. The sumptuous main area
comprises a pool, lounge, library, dining and convivial bar area stylishly set on expansive
raised decks close to the water's edge.
Drift down the river on the Queen Silvia barge, watching hippos bob and elephants swim...
Day 7
Transit Point | Transfer
Wilderness Vumbura Plains South, Okavango Delta, Botswana | 3 Nights
Wilderness Vumbura Plains promises the ultimate Okavango experience.
Set in the Delta’s far north, Wilderness Vumbura Plains seems to float, an artful balance of
wood, glass, and canvas. Its 14 spacious suites include indoor and outdoor showers, an
en-suite bathroom, private plunge pool, and outdoor 'sala’ from where you can view the
never-ending wildlife parade. Travel seamlessly from the outside in, absorbing the Delta’s
rich hues, reflecting local landscape and culture.
Glide over the pure waters by traditional mokoro or buzz a little faster by delta boat. Soar
into the skies by hot-air balloon or helicopter, over scenes that take your breath away.
